Conecxus Community Member’s Commitment to Confidentiality
Every member within the Conecxus community (including members, chairs, speakers, or staff) commits to upholding the responsibilities and commitments outlined below:
I will adhere to the “Confidentiality Standards” listed here; and
I will comply with the “Terms of Use” of Conecxus’s websites (referred to as the “Sites”).
Confidentiality Standards
Every member of the Conecxus community is expected to follow these confidentiality standards.
Non-Disclosure
Information and discussions shared among Conecxus community members are to be kept confidential and should not be disclosed to any individual or organisation without prior consent from all parties involved. This includes information shared during group meetings, one-to-one sessions, and via any Conecxus Sites or community networking platforms like My Conecxus, our Facebook Page, our Twitter Page, our LinkedIn Page, our YouTube and the Conecxus Directory.
Contacting Others
Issues discussed within the Conecxus community are often private and not widely known among members or within their respective companies. When communicating with a Conecxus member about such matters, it is important to exercise extreme caution. This includes interactions with Conecxus members’ employees, sending emails or faxes that might be accessed by others, and leaving voicemail messages in general voicemail boxes.
Usernames and Passwords
Protecting access to Conecxus Sites and the information they contain is crucial. Users must take all necessary precautions to safeguard their personal usernames and passwords. Sharing passwords with others is strictly prohibited. If there are concerns about a lost or stolen password, contact the Conecxus Support desk for assistance in changing it.
Solicitation
All users of Conecxus Sites agree not to use the directories or email addresses within these sites for business solicitation purposes. This includes refraining from compiling marketing or contact lists from this information.
Competition and Hiring
Members of the Conecxus community pledge not to use any non-public information obtained from the Sites or shared within the community to compete with others, solicit customers or employees, or cause financial harm to any other member of the Conecxus community.
Reminder
While every effort is made to ensure confidentiality and security, no website can guarantee absolute security at all times. It is important to exercise caution in all online transactions.
Though members agree to maintain complete confidentiality regarding discussions held in group meetings or during one-to-one conversations, this agreement does not legally bind third parties or court proceedings. Members might be required to provide testimony on matters discussed in meetings or on Conecxus discussion boards and forums. Additionally, Conecxus may be obliged to disclose information or materials under applicable laws, regulations, orders, subpoenas, or other legal processes. Therefore, it is advisable for members to exercise caution when discussing anything in Conecxus meetings or on Conecxus discussion platforms that they would prefer to keep confidential. Publicly traded company members should seek counsel regarding disclosure of any material, non-public information in compliance with securities laws and regulations.
Furthermore, since member issue recordings are not legally protected, a court could request Conecxus to release issue recordings or discussions if uploaded to a Conecxus web property or discussed in a Conecxus forum. Therefore, to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information, it is recommended that members receive their copy of any recorded issue discussed at their meeting. Similarly, discussions involving potentially confidential or sensitive information should not occur on Conecxus web properties if participants wish to keep these discussions privileged.
Acknowledgement is made that Conecxus cannot supervise or be responsible for the conduct of members, Chairs, or Speakers. Disputes arising from violations of this Pledge are the responsibility of the disputing parties without liability to Conecxus.
